Six rules. Read them before you open the box.
- Gloves and tongs Never let it touch your skin: at −78.5 °C it burns.
- Ventilated space CO₂ displaces oxygen in enclosed spaces.
- Nothing airtight As it sublimates, pressure builds and can burst the container.
- Never eat or drink it No pellets in the glass: always use a double container.
- Away from children and pets Keep it in its box, out of their reach.
- In the car Never in the passenger compartment: in the boot, with ventilation.
How much dry ice do I need?
It depends on the use and how many hours you need it for. For fog, as a guide: 3 kg at home, 10 kg for a big party and 15 to 20 kg for a bar or an event. For transport or samples, tell us the hours and the volume and we’ll work it out.
When will it arrive?
If you order before 12:00, Monday to Friday, it leaves the same day and you have it the next morning. We don’t deliver on Sunday or Monday. Saturday delivery depends on the area and has an €11.74 surcharge (VAT included).
Can I order for another day?
Yes: at checkout you can choose any day in the next 90 with delivery to your area, Tuesday to Saturday (Saturday depending on the area, with a surcharge). Order it for the day you’ll use it: dry ice sublimates over time.
Can I collect it in person?
Yes, from our warehouse in Mataró (Camí Ca La Madrona 19 D), Monday to Saturday, including public holidays. You pay a round price with VAT included, the same online and at the warehouse: 3 kg for €35, 10 kg for €60, 15 kg for €80 and 20 kg for €115. On Saturday, +€10 (VAT included). Except 31 October: no surcharge. We confirm the time beforehand. Payment is in cash, with the exact amount: we can’t give change.
What’s the difference between 3 mm and 16 mm?
3 mm pellets have more surface area: they cool faster and make more fog. 16 mm nuggets have more mass per piece and last longer, which is why they’re used for transport and samples.
Do you invoice individuals and businesses?
Yes. If you’re an individual and the order is up to €400 (VAT included), the simplified invoice reaches you by email from info@dryicepack.es. If you’re buying for a company or as self-employed, tick ‘I am buying for a company or as self-employed’ at checkout and enter the company name and tax ID (NIF/CIF): you get the full invoice. If you’ve already paid without ticking it, we’ll send you a link to request it. Business accounts get a single invoice a month, payable within 30 days.
Do you deliver to the Balearic or Canary Islands?
No. We only deliver to mainland Spain: not to the Balearic or Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla.
